Naruto story recommendations

So!  I've been hard at work trying to clean out my favorites on my fanfiction.net account, and I've compiled several different fanfiction reference pages.  I started the first one for Inuyasha a long time ago, because I was reading so many fics that I couldn't remember what was what, so if I wanted to reread something I just couldn't find it.  I ( Read more... )

Hello again! I hopped from your post at lethal_empathy to your fic at LJ, only to pop here from your author's note. I'm Tea's who just left you a review at ff.net. :)

Anyhow, I just thought I'd drop by. Thank you for the fanfic recommendations. I've been searching for some good Naruto fics lately, so I'm definitely going to be perusing through your list. Your Inuyasha recs look tempting as well (you're a Sesshoumaru/Kagome fan too!!), though I haven't read fics on the pairing in years so I'm not sure if I'd be venturing there. Yayness for separating the fic recs in status sections- I tend to only start completed fics, if I can help it. :)

Thanks for the comment!! Yah, Sess/Kag rock! The first few of the Inuyasha ones really are amazing stories, if you're the slightest bit still interested in the characters they're well worth checking out.

I agree about the sorting by status bit. My Naruto page is mostly populated by completed fics because I've done a LOT more searching by status: complete this time. I felt burned with Inuyasha, over half of all the fics I started would just be abandoned by their authors half way through. I've still got lots of work in progress fics I'm watching with Naruto, but I've tried to stay away from uncompleted fics that haven't been updated in a couple of months (fics that haven't been updated in a year are completely out.) Those are hopeless causes anyway, and I'm tired of enjoying a story only to find it's been abandoned.

The only way I'm not finishing my own story is if I die, dammit! No wimping out halfway through! :D

I'll definitely keep them in mind if I decide to read some Sess/Kag fics again. :) I actually have a (long-winded) reason for not touching them at the moment, but I'll spare you the boring details since it mostly has to do with my own Sess/Kag fic. :p

I definitely know what you mean about enjoying a story only to find that it's been abandoned. I hate that as well, which is why I tend to sort and do searches based on status. I really shouldn't be one to talk though, since I have two WIP fics that's taking ages for me to get to. Though it wasn't my own death, it was my father's. That kind of changed my life in just about every way possible and fic updating took a far far backseat, I should say.

Your assurance to finish the fic has made me very happy indeed. :) I'll be keeping close watch of it and will probably add your journal too if you don't mind. Truth be told, I'm also just happy to meet another fellow writer and reader of the same fandoms as me who happens to be in my age range. xD I feel so old half the time.

I'm sorry about your loss. :( That's understandable, major life events are hard for anyone to cope with, and certainly hobbies like fanfic writing would fall to the wayside. What kills me are the people who are like "Yeah, I've lost interest in that story, sorry ( ... )
