HOW ABOUT A VOTE ON THE LOOK OF THE NEW BLOG. WHICH ONE DO YOU GUYS LIKE BETTER? OBVIOUSLY ILL CHANGE THE BANNER TO BE MY BANNER BUT I DONT HAVE TIME FOR THAT RIGHT THIS SECOND. JUST GETTING AN INITIAL READ. REMEMBER THIS IS SUPPOSED TO BE A BETTER REPRESENTATION OF ME AND MY BUSINESS. WHICH DO YOU THINK WILL SHOW OFF MY PRODUCTS BETTER?

hahaha. yeah i wondered that. my natural inclination is for way gaudy and overdone. damn me for not living in the 17th century. but i am worried that that might distract from the products and stuff. thanks for voting!

If the site is for business, you want the layout and design to be as simple (but striking) as possible so the products not the web design are the focus. Personally, I find both designs over done and fussy. Sorry.

ETA: Your company name is totally lost in both of those designs.

yup i know that but it needs to show personality too if you are selling hand made goods i think. im ok with you thinking they are both overly frilly. :0) im glad you posted your thoughts. oh and, i know. the headders arent done at all yet this is just to get a read. thats just how blogger puts it up there.

I like the 2nd one because it is fun.. You're fun and your stuff is fun.

The second one does not remind me of you at all. It reminds me of gentile ladies of leisure whose idea of a good time with friends is tea in the finest porcelain and a perfect collection of confectionaries on paper doilies. They usually always wear pearls and laugh discreetly behind napkins and hands.

Oh no, I can't decide so I'm abstaining my vote!

When I redid my blog I wanted something simple but fun, too. I ended up just doing a white background and made my own banner, then took those colors and used them for text and links, etc. That way I got a little color and fun, but not overly done you know? Hmm, well I hope more people have better opinions cause clearly I am no help!
