I just finished reading House of Leaves.* Has anyone else read it?

*I'm getting nervous a dark hallway will soon open up in my living room...

NO I heard it was good. Also I had a kid from a writing class do something similar. If it's not a library book can I borrow sometime?

Of course! I highly recommend it to...well, everybody. With a strong enough heart/head, of course!!

Yes.

I can't read it alone in the house.

Nor can I read it at night. D:

It has a way of being unsettling without you even realizing it.

I had to read it as I rode the bus to/from work each morning and afternoon. I managed to subvert the creepiness but perhaps having lots of lights and people around made the impact of the book diminish.

But I wouldn't have been able to handle it otherwise!!

But the checkmark on that one page freaked me out for some reason.

Oh, it seriously is!! The best part about it is that you can't tell what's real and what's been made up by the narrator, since there are plenty of freak-out episodes that turn out to later be fake!!!

I'm really tempted to read it for myself.

Is it really that scary? The Wiki article didn't do it much justice..

EDIT: Nevermind. I found one that did.

Yes, you most definitely should read it! It's such a weird book, can't even try to describe it.
