What I've Been Up To:

Gaming: I finished Tales of Eternia. I was satisfied with the ending and overall enjoyed it a lot. Given a choice between the two, I think I liked Destiny's story and characters better, but I liked the graphics and gameplay of Eternia better. I was glad to see the cooking system back, because it was fun and made so much more ( Read more... )

I really hope Tales of Destiny Remake is someday fan translated or localized on the PSN store or something. Because it has the awesome graphics like Tales of Eternia, a redone script, new sidequests, a whole Leon side story so you can play his point of view. Yeah, the fucker actually is likable and developed. What I've read translated is so sad and awesome. Poor guy. But yeah, Reid's development and past felt rushed along to give Meredy's all the attention (definitely the better choice.) Hmm, my favroite Tales of Heroes are in Tales of Symphonia 2 (Emil) and Tales of the Abyss (no tales character as since gone through as much and been developed so well as Luke, and well I doubt they ever will surpass him). If you can I'd defiantly play Legendia since it is so DIFFERENT, and has probably the most adult themes in the whole series, though Tales of the Abyss has a really tense story too, but Legendia deals with some interesting personal issues with its characters (child abuse, genocide, a love triangle that results in some serious ( ... )

I will definitely be playing Legendia (and Abyss, and Symphonia 2). I already have them. :D It took me a few years but I rounded up all the Tales games available in English just so I could play them all straight through. Destiny was the only one I had to resort to playing a rom for. I'm really looking forward to Legendia and Abyss because I've heard great things about them. And yeah I would love to play the Destiny remake. Sounds awesome.

I'm not sure how far into Symphonia I am. I just got to the other world (Sheena's world, which I can't spell). So far I'm loving it. I particularly like Kratos and Genis. Raine and Sheena are great too and even Collete grew on me. I accidentally spoiled myself about the connection between Kratos and Lloyd, but I'm kinda glad I know. Makes me look at their interactions a little more deeply. I knew about affection levels but I've mostly just been answering questions however I would personally answer them myself if I was in that situation. :/ I hope everyone doesn't hate me.

Nah, as long as you you be nice to them on special map skits, they will never reach hate levels. I think dialogue options are only about 10-15%. I'm glad you know about Kratos, so I can tell you how to see the scene with him. He to have a high affection level with you. Doing all his map skits and answering a few of the right dialogue options should be quite enough. You will hear knocks on your door in the town Flanior (snowy) town. (there a map skit near that town for Kratos even though he isn't in your party. Make sure you do that before doing the special scenes in flanior. Anyway ignore all knocks on your door. The people knocking are the three highest affection rated people in your party. If Kratos has a high enough affection toward you, Lloyd will go outside and Kratos will show up, and tell Lloyd exactly what happened to his mother and how Kratos came to think his son was also dead. It's one of the most emotional scenes in the game ( ... )
