So, sometimes people die, and then everybody says nice things about them.  Wouldn't it be more efficient to say nice things about people while they're still alive?  To this end, every week until i forget to, i'm going to pick one person i know and one famous person and appreciate them ( Read more... )

I went to a memorial for a Go player who died young a few weeks ago. He and his family were heavy duty Sventh Day Adventists, and the service turned out to be a combination of memorial and Sunday service.

At some point, someone said that we shouldn't just be praising people after they'd died, but we should praise people while they lived. I thought this was a great idea! But then all the people the handed the mic to -- every one of them -- instead praised God and quoted scripture.

So kudos to you!
