What English word can have a consonant inserted somewhere in it to form another real word that has one more syllable?

Indeed. I just posted this when I thought of one, so I didn't know how many there would be. Logan is apparently a Scottish word. To get the one with which I started, you can try finding one that involves putting the consonant in the middle of a ligature, with neither word being a proper noun.

Of course, I meant a diphthong, not a ligature.
