Not one of my better days...

My company laid me off yesterday. The official reason is that my position is being replaced for a project with higher priority than the stuff I was working on. We were in a hiring freeze so I was the odd man out, apparently. They were somewhat generous with severance so at least I have some time to look for a job. The timing sucks with the holidays

Aww, man. I'm sorry to read this. Mike actually tipped me off to the news on our ride home from work this evening. This breaks my heart. I'm seeing this far too often as of late.

You'll be back on the horse before you know it (like that analogy ;) ?) You're too good for an employer to pass up. One door closes, another opens.

Do you think letters of recommendation from your favorite forum admins will help at all?! :P
