I'm not an experienced seamstress, but.....gebrauchmusikSeptember 12 2006, 04:50:21 UTC
I could probably help you take in that shirt if you get desperate. I've taken in many a shirt in my day.
Oh- and I remember being at the U of S on that day walking down the hallway and suddenly there was a huge crowd of students gathering around a television set. We all just stood there in total silence and watched- "shock and awe" is the only way to describe it, I guess. It is enough to make one grind their teeth at night, indeed...I'm not sure how people can purposely harm the innocent- how they become so desensitized and unable to recognize the depth of each life they take. Unfortunately, it seems that as the world becomes viewed more and more globally, people become groups and lives become numbers. And I guess that is something we can work on...maybe putting a bit more thought into who we elect to act as a 'voice for the people' for starters. I don't know...things just have to change.

ya maybe you probly could. by experienced i meant more than me. which means you've taken in at least one shirt. since i've received no other applicants, the job is yours. i don't have your ph# tho.
i had written a big long cynical rant about how everyone is not a special snowflake, and thousand people dying (daily) is no big deal, but then after numerous revisions, i realized that i'm just a jerk and should be shutting up.
oh Ranty McRant-Rant. Its ok, though...death might not be a big deal- I guess we don't know that for sure.
I wrote a big long cynical rant about taking in shirts but then realized that I don't know much else about sewing and you should feel free to call anytime.

So jaded as north americans. I remember being in highschool and not doing a single thing all day except watching CNN, and nothing the next morning (yeah I'm younger than the rest of you). My first reaction, other than worry for my friend Jon who's father was flying back from NY that morning, was this isn't all that surprising. I had to remember a few things
( ... )

well said my friend. joo speeka da troote. tho it'was shocking, they had it coming for sure.
coming next for them is they're money will be worthless when it is no longer the world's reserve currency, which basically gives them a ticket to print money. is it a coincidence that countries that trade oil in euros are the countries on the 'axis of evil'..
china is going to obliterate them.
but no big thang, we only have a little over 5years left until 2012 when civilization extincts itself again.
