A death in the family.

It may seem not such a big deal to some, but Tacet's rabbit Alexia died suddenly last night.

I think there's a profound grace in taking another living thing and giving it a healthier, happier life, even if you can only do so briefly (and, let's be honest, any span of time is brief in this context).

"A profound grace."

Yes. That's why I try always to be friendly to critters, especially those well socialized enough to be friendly to me.

Alexia very quickly learned that my purpose in life, while I was in sniffing range, was to butter her bread, and I was just all too happy to do so.

Tenaya can also confirm how I treated her blonde bombshell of a cat. (He was the social one, and decided my large suitcase was an ideal new bed. What did I do? I moved it where the sun would shine on it all morning and part of the afternoon, just for him. Her female cat Gryphon, sadly, was a one person cat.)

She's lost other bunnies in her lifetime of owning them, but this loss...was easily the worst. Going to go up this weekend to try and help her.

So very sorry for the sudden loss -_- ... *sends hugs to you both*

Oh, I'm really sorry. Please give my condolences to Tacet; I know that the loss of a pet is very painful. I'm sure that she was a dear little rabbit.

It has been a while. I wondered where you went. Nice to see you alive and active.

WalksFar?? Good heavens, old dragon, how have you been doing? I'm still on FurryMUCK, if you ever want to find me there.
