It's a strange feeling to be at my parents' house after they've retired to bed, with nobody else home. Like any other situation in which there's no people to talk to and no forms of amusement immediately at hand, I am forced to entertain myself with my own thoughts (which can be a scary prospect). Pretty much how I figure it.

Freedom to choose religion only really works with cultural inclusiveness and acceptance* (or at least tolerance). Otherwise, you're stuck with the same old story where the majority celebrate openly, and the minorities are shamed or hidden away.

Personally, I celebrate Newtonmas.

* Within reasonable bounds, of course. If someone's trying to sacrifice a live goat in your driveway, you might want to do something about that.
