Well, my English exam is tomorrow. I don't have 4 or 5 questions, so I'll be writing them at random during examination itself :) Not a big deal, I suppose^^
It's high time I chose a department of my future faculty! Not going to postpone it to the moment when I stand in front of the reception and tear my hair out in perplexity...

Learning Italian however, and turning your skills into a profession, will make you something of a specialist. Which is not that bad either.
I don't think that there will be a big difference between starting French or starting Italian. Spelling and grammar can be equally tricky. I tried both, and still prefer Spanish ^^
Once you speak either of them though, it will be easier to add the other.
Personally, I'd go for English French first. The English courses would keep me motivated to survive French. Adding Italian would be fun for me later.
Whatever you choose, I wish you good luck, fun and successful studies.

(Let's consider it as 'Italian-English' and 'English - French' departments)
In the RF, Italian specialists are in high demand. And there is a difference - in Italian department I'd be given deeper and wider knowledge of Italian itself (English is the second), and on the other faculty I would be brought mostly to English and pick up a smattering of French. It's possible to choose the third language, yet it's not free.
We also have Spanish-English but I'm attracted to Italian and French a lot^^ And I don't care how tough each of them would be, actually^^
Moreover, I've seen student-books of the third course. I studied them more than a three years ago O___o I was shoked! In this case, I would not study English there - only other disciplines (It's pathetic to learn what I already knew...). And Italian might bring me some fresh ideas^^
Okay, I'm mixed in the upshot... Blah :)
