In Australia, it's a bit different, you can go directly into Med as an undergraduate - it's a six-year course. So that's what I'm doing now...
At the moment it's very bludgey (but they recognise that because we're stuck there for six years, they're weaning us into the system). But then next semester it apparently gets LOTS harder (I have a 20 hour week at the moment)

never actually seen an episode of grey's anatomy, but it seems silly.

six years is indeed better than eight.
i wonder if they have any similar programs in the US...
bludgey! that is a fun sounding word.
i am interpreting it to mean "easy" or the like.
