We choose to go to the moon

Well what do you know. 45-50 degrees. No bugs. Clear sky. Full moon. Well, no good for astrophotography of anything but the moon. So I decided it was high time to take the telescope out and point it at the moon and see what was what

Yeah, would love to be able to climb those! I can also only imagine what the view is like on the far side, looking out away into space.

Have you ever wished you could travel back in time and watch the impact that produced the Tycho crater?

The moon impresses me in ways that the stars don't. I have trouble experiencing deep space objects as being more than just interesting lights. The moon is obviously a place, and just hanging there in the sky.

Glad you liked! I might have to try again with the barlow lens sometimes which adds some zoom, I forgot it last night.
