We choose to go to the moon

Well what do you know. 45-50 degrees. No bugs. Clear sky. Full moon. Well, no good for astrophotography of anything but the moon. So I decided it was high time to take the telescope out and point it at the moon and see what was what ( Read more... )

Yeah, would love to be able to climb those! I can also only imagine what the view is like on the far side, looking out away into space.

The moon impresses me in ways that the stars don't. I have trouble experiencing deep space objects as being more than just interesting lights. The moon is obviously a place, and just hanging there in the sky.

Glad you liked! I might have to try again with the barlow lens sometimes which adds some zoom, I forgot it last night.
