Moving (and no, I don't mean emotionally)...

Well, I just finished doing something that I had thought we were done with...packing a box up of things to move.  It was a small box, and it wasn't exactly difficult since it was just DVDs.  But there is something strange about packing it up this time, knowing that we're ready to face a major change in our life that we didn't want, ceasing to be a ( Read more... )

I just wanted to tell you that I've been there before and only in the past couple of years, have we gotten out of the hole. I wish you much luck and if there is ANYTHING I can do, please don't hesitate to let me know.

Well, the real trauma is pretty much over, since we've made our decision, know what we're doing and no longer have a ton of stress and doubt about what we're going to do. And the thing is, it actually has been a lot harder to be a homeowner than it was when we rented from a landlord we hardly ever saw (she lived in Canada and our rent money went straight to paying for her mother's assisted living here).

So between that and our financial situation improving once this is all said and done (since we have more equity in the house than we owe), the only real issue is that we'll be leaving a place where we got comfortable. So now we're actually in a pretty good place, emotionally.

But every time someone comes in with kind words of encouragement, it certainly makes that place even better and I very much appreciate yours.
