For those who haven't heard, Ms. Prejean was one of the finalists and, by at least Perez Hilton's comments, was considered the front runner.  But after her response to the question she was given--asking whether other states should allow gay marriage,

All I know is that One Tree Hill fans are happy that Miss North Carolina won because a) the show is filmed there and b) Miss North Carolina is the sister of Kenzie Dalton, girlfriend of Chad Michael Murray (and main actor on the show).

No, but my comment is that she didn't ultimately lose based on her opinion, she lost because of the weakness of her answer
