Fic Master Post

Edited/updated December 12/2012

Now I know why fandom calls them 'plot bunnies' - they breed and multiply when you're not looking. So here's a stuck post to keep track of what I'm doing and what stage they're at. All links are to AO3.

I am looking forward to read an QAF/Shelter crossover. I once started a storie but I found it too difficult mostly because English isn't my first language.

It isn't? I'm impressed!

And the QAF/Shelter fic was the first one I had been thinking about, once upon a time, but never actually wrote anything down. I started jotting down notes once The List started running circles in my head, so that I wouldn't forget to come back to it. There are just too many parallels/mirror situations between the two to ignore!

It'll be Justin-centered, for the most part, (I think!) and set in the spring of 2011. Until I actually start writing instead of outlining scenes, and it runs away with me, of course.

I hope you won't mind that I friended you so I could find your lj again. I just started reading the list on AO3 and I'm really enjoying it. I'm going to read the Yellow Wood next and want to watch for the next part. Thanks

Not at all! I'm really flattered that you're interested in my fic and my ramblings! XD

As a note, I'm stupidly busy with work prep right now, so it'll be a little while before I get a chance to write for fun again. Everything will get posted here and at AO3 when I do have something new.

I wanted to drop a line and say that I just found your fic rec'd on getithere and it is downloaded to my kindle and I shall read it all day tomorrow. I'm excited about a qaf/CrimMinds xover. thanks for writing! I've skimmed and I think I'll really like it. I'll leave more conclusive and effusive praise when I finish!

Aw, that's awesome! Thank you so much! I really hope you like it, as well. :D (Was that a new rec? I missed some things over Christmas, but I definitely didn't see my own stuff get mentioned!)

Loved it!! The pacing was excellent, the dialogue rang true, I absolutely loved the discussion by the BAU guys about how Justin must be a victim and the subsequent reveal of the real nature of their relationship at the loft... "We've been known to be wrong..." Reid's profile of Brian in the interview room was awesome, I could see Brian squirming. The epilogue was excellent as well, with the humorous glitter tie in. Nice way to wrap up the CM episode and not leave qaf out of the closing.

In addition, I read the deleted scene, and enjoyed it, but found the insight into your writing process even more fascinating. Thanks for sharing. Those of us who are voracious readers but have never attempted writing appreciate a small window into the creative process.

Totally enjoyable read. Please keep writing!

Kate

PS I'm not sure of the date of the getithere post. I was just perusing the recs because I'm currently on a break from school and have time to catch up on my fic reading.

ARGH. I've tried to reply to this three times and LJ's eaten it every. single. time. One more try!

Thank you very much for reading, and for your very kind review! I do still have plans for QAF fic, though I'm a bit of a fandom polymath and I've been writing primarily in the Marvel comics universe this fall. It's such a thrill to get reviews and comments on older things, though, and to know that folks are still reading them. :)
