I up and moved to GA 3 years ago and while it solved some problems, of course new ones popped up. And wouldn't your stuff come with you to London? And being far away really only means when you have to go home to see family it costs way more. You still have to go home sometimes. Sigh. my frequent flier miles are killer though.

Everything in the UK is so much smaller that I would leave about 2/3 of my possessions here.
As for coming home, work would pay for 2 weeks per year for the entire family to come home (one being the week of the 4th).
I would also have to come back and forth for work so I could handle that.
but you are right, if you have to move across the street to solve a problem then you are looking in the worng place.

But, to use you as an example, you seemed to have scored in Georgia - husband, house, job, what more could a girl want!!! When I grow up i want to be just like you.

I wanna be like you to... A force of nature and don't take crap from anyone. I think I'm too nice sometimes.

And OK, i'm a good example of how good a move can be. But it's still hard when there is a sick/hurt family member you can't run home to see because you are 1,00 miles away and it didn't happen during planned vacation time...

But I could get you to mail me Flake bars if you lived in thr UK... hmmm. They are way yummy.
