i was...this is terrible...so sad when gaston died! because i love gaston, and frollo is just so BAD. OOOOHHH. he's awful. i love how his death, however, was the same as in the movie. that was perfect.
and belle giving her last wish to quasimodo in return, that was SO perfect. that was -just- like her. i was smiling the whole way through to the end. the last few lines were incredible, with the warmest, lightest feeling. and i'm so excited for genie to see aladdin's kids. :D
this was such a cool story, it was truly amazing how you weaved together three movies with very different atmospheres and created one that had the best parts of all three -- and kept the magic! wonderfully done. <3
Eeeee~ I was so excited when I saw the last section of this had gone up! This is fantastic, so wonderful on every level, and clever as well. I'll be favouriting this fic for sure. ♥
On more detailed notes, I love the little canonical references to each film - the bits about Maurice; Genie sounding so wonderfully Genie and getting confused by that last wish; Frollo maniacal and hypocritical at the end. Guh, so wonderful.
Magic is always tricky to keep hold of in fics, and you've got the characters acting intelligent in their use of it, which is fantastic. This is just wonderful on so many levels; I think I'll be coming back to read this repeatedly!
Thank you! I always wondered why Jasmine didn't wish for Aladdin to be a prince, then give the lamp back to Aladdin so he could wish Genie free. I mean, I know that it's supposed to show how everyone's grown as a person and stuff, but still. And besides, Belle's smart. She would have figured that out. :D
It's funny - I think I did Genie the best, because he has such a clear voice, even though I haven't seen Aladdin in years and had to watch parts on Youtube to make sure I was getting his voice correctly. And Frollo is my favorite villain to write, because he's just so EVIL and CREEPY.
Yeah, I always sort of wondered that as well. Though I suppose it was also trying to be nice to Genie, like making him do the minimum number of wishes or something?
And oh yeah, Genie was spot on. I'm just saying that magic in general is bad in a story, because if you've got intelligent characters then they will just think of so many damn things!
This was so amazing! I loved Belle giving her last wish to Quasi. Poor Gaston. I'm not a big fan of him, but I still feel bad for him. PowerCrazed!Frollo was awesome and scary. You are a fantastic author!

I have the story posted on FF.Net now, with a bit more commentary and such. http://www.fanfiction.net/s/7301470/1/One_Day_Out_There
