I love Amelie! It's such a good movie.
My senior year of college our french club went to go see it in a little local theatre. I was amazed at the number of people who walked out of the theatre and claimed to have hated it.

how could someone hate that movie?? It's Adorable!
I thought it was very clever and had a good message - some people have no vision or imagination.

I dunno! I was rather surprised myself! I saw a lot of people shrug and say "I don't get it. It must be one of those French things."
Perhaps the older generation in northern Indiana grew up with no imagination....

Ha! Hump day.... I was driving into work and said "Hey! Isn't it Thursday..." only to realize it is Wednesday... :*(

Amelie is funny. You have got to know that the traveling Gnome from Amelie was the inpiration for Travelocity.

today IS my thursday for Friday I shall be ahem, "sick" ; )
Arashi and I thought that same thing about the gnome.
I just love her dads reaction to it - both his eventual personal decision to go abroad and his reaction to the photos the gnome was "sending" him.

If a garden gnome can enjoy life and travel the world then why cant we all?
I liked that glass man's view too, why lead a 'safe' life if we can take the bumps and grinds of life without dying a little scarey risk can well be worth a fulfilled life.

People ask if the glass is half full or half empty.
I always answer the question with 'yes'...
Most do not like the answer but its true...
Its like asking if a yin-yang is black or white, when its both.
