When did it become July?

Today is the 6th of July. According to the schedule I made (back in May) I should have finished editing a paper (one I want to try and publish), be almost finished with a new writing sample, and have started an abstract for my BSG paper. I having a similar feeling. When did it become July?! I haven't read any of my books for Fall. I'm way behind (as in haven't even started) on my mouse reasearch, or my paper...AT ALL. I haven't contacted anyone about being my advisor. And um. Yeah. Where did July come from!?

I blame the French.

You can do it Subaru!!!

Your statement of purpose is Academia!!! You are a true student, a professional student. Everyday you breathe and eat literature. Your pores sweat the sweet prose of long dead poets. You ARE literature!!!

Yeah crazy how July snuck up on us. June ran away too quick. I will be having my 2nd anniversary soon too!!! Eeek!!

I'm in the same boat. I can't decide what writing sample I should send, and I need to start the statement of purpose and narrow down my "schools I'll apply to" list (so far I have 20!) I have crappy GRE scores too, they're worse than yours, but I don't care about the subject test since the schools I would really like to go to don't require it. My quantative is embarrassing, but for most Eng. programs they ignore that, and my verbal is only 530. I'm retaking the GRE next month, just the verbal part. My analytical is good though. I have a great GPA too. But yeah, I'm nervous. Just so you know Chris' GRE verbal score was below 500, and he got into Oklahoma State. Yes, it's Oklahoma, but at least it's a PhD program!
