Indiana has always had unusual weather, but this week takes the cake. Within a week, we had a pretty nasty ice storm that knocked out a lot of power, nearly cause a limb to crush my car (catching the neighbors car behind mine instead) and lasted for 2 days. This also lead to some flooding issues. Finally the ice storm was over, I went to bed at ( Read more... )

What happens when a graveyard floods? Does it disturb the graves at all; is there any danger of the dead bodies contaminating the water table? That's a great picture.

I know that there are few, possibly no underground burials in New Orleans because the city sits like, two feet above the water table or something. But is that because it would be hard to dig a grave, or because of the things we were thinking about? Hmm. This would be fun to look into. I'll let you know what i find.

we've been getting some crazy weather here in pennsylvania as well.. you must be sending all the rain right this way :) it's really hard to believe that the temperature has been in the 60s/70s. winter break definitely felt more like a spring break.

It's funny, within an hour of posting this journal, I look outside and my car has snow all over it. Now it's really cold out and everything's freezing. Freezing floods can't be good, but maybe it'll make for interesting photography? So if that's any indication, we'll be shipping our snow to you shortly after the rain. Enjoy!
