You know, over time I've read quite a number of interpretations of how these two would finally consummate their relationship at this time in this place, but this is one of the best because it doesn't dwell on the consummation, but on the little moments leading up to it, and the comfort and understanding that follows. Those are the truly important parts here.

I'm glad you liked it! I was having... problems, for lack of a better word, with this because of exactly that reason. In my head they definitely did have sex up there at the cabin, but there was so much ELSE going on as well that I wanted to focus on that instead of just the sex part. Especially Sam has so much stuff to think about and she probably wouldn't be able to just leave everything behind and move on.

I hope I can focus on all of that some more in the last part. It's so much fun to write these two!
