Oh, puh-lease Sam. Jack knew exactly how much of a pain in the ass he was being. He's a master tactician. He -

1) Got your full attention.
2) Got you on his side with the puppy-dog almost sad look.
3) Got you slightly re-aggravated by taking his time and continuing to annoy.
4) And planted one on you that will stick with you and make you miss him until you see him again, and made it all the sweeter by the contrast with the moments preceeding.

You can think circles around him in some things, but in tactics? That's his superpower.
