[Fic] Even in the rain, my love wont be lost...the sequel
Jin slowly opened his eyes only to be met by a complete darkness. He looks around him, trying to figure up where he was. Slowly the earlier event coming back to him. Kame…stabbed…coma… He snapped his head back to look at the bed. There Kame was, still in his too deep sleep. No sign of him ever waking up.
He heaved a deep sigh. He stands up and stretches his body, trying to loose the taut muscles. His back was hurting for he had fall asleep on the chair, leaning against Kame’s bed.
He walked toward the window. The blind was down, that explain why the room was so dark. He pulled up the blind, allowing a little light to pass through, and look outside. The rain had stopped and the moon had appeared.
He turns back towards the bed. The moonlight was reflected on Kame’s face, makes he looks so ethereal. He felt his eyes sting, but there’s no more tears left to shed.
Please Kame, wake up soon.

He walked aimlessly along the hallway. He had been avoiding a crowded place after he found out that people can just walked through him. He had been freaking out for almost a day when he realized that, but now he had calm down. Still he avoided crowded place, because people can walked through you is just…freaky~~
He steps suddenly stopped as he saw two familiar figures on the other side of the road. They two were surrounded by a group of student. He want to go closer to them, but the road was too busy since it was during hectic hours. Even though he know that the car can’t hurt him, but he still love his life, so he just stand at his place.
It seems like the taller figure was shouting something at the other student while keeping the smaller figure behind him. He tried to hear what was that all about, but the sound of the cars zooming passed him drowned the voice.
Suddenly one of the student rushed forward, aiming his fist towards the taller figure face. The taller figure stood frozen to his place, too shocked to dodge the punch that was aim to him. The taller figure stumble backwards, holding his hurting jaw. Then, hell broke lose. The two figures kept delivering and accepting punches after punches.
He tried to move. He want to stop the fight for he knew what the outcome gonna be. Unfortunately, his feet do not cooperative. It’s like they were glued to the pavement that he was standing on. He kept shouting, asking them to stop, not none of them heard him. He stared helplessly at the two beaten figure after the student have enough with them.
He knew that it was his fault for the fight to happen. After the incident, he had apologized profusely to the other, but the other just smile and waved his apologize of. And he realize during the time that he had fallen for the other.

He walked absentmindedly to the campus. It had been three days since Kame had been in coma. And during the three days, he felt really lonely without the other by his side. Even though Pi and Ryo were always with him during the time, never leaving him alone, he still felt the loneliness in his heart.
“Jin.” Suddenly he heard someone calling his name. He stop in his track and tried to find the person. He saw Maki was running towards him. He wait for Maki to reached closer before asked, “What’s up.”
“Well, there’s something I want to show to you. Emmm…can we go somewhere more private.” Maki said, looking around where they were standing. Jin looks at her curiously before hesitantly nodding.
They walked to more secluded place. “What is it?” Jin asked, eying her.
“Actually, I’ve received this two days ago. I don’t know whether this has connection with what had happened to Kamenashi-kun, but I think it’s better to let you know.” Maki said, handing Jin an A4 paper.
Jin took the paper and read the content. His eyes widen as soon as he finished reading it. He looks at Maki. His hands were shaking. “Who give this to you?” Maki Just shook her head indicating that she does not know.
“I find it in my locker.” She said.
Jin tried to calm himself down. “It’s okay.” He said. “I know what I’m gonna do.” He smile assuring at Maki.
Arriving at his apartment later that day, he quickly search for a certain card that he know he kept somewhere in his apartment. He yelled triumphantly as he find the said card and hastily dialed the number written on it.

He was standing in front of a building. Noises can be heard from the inside one of the changing room. He slowly walked into the room and the sight in front of him makes him smile widely.
“The hard way it seems.” He heard one of the student said and before the smaller figure can comprehend on what was happening, he was already rolling on the floor, laughing his lung out and trying to get away from the devilish hands that were tickling him from every angle.
“Ok..Ok..I give up..hahaha…stop…I’ll tell…hahaha…I’ll tell…stop.” The smaller figure let out between his laugh. Tears were threatening to fall down. He tried to squirm his way out from his friends.
The smaller figure sit up and wipe his tears away after the predators free him from their torturous hands. “Ok I’ll tell. Geez you guys are mean.” He said between his ragging breaths.
“You should choose the easy way. That will save us the trouble.” The student from earlier said.
“Then who is it.” Another student interrupts before the smaller figure could answer.
“Err..it’s Maki.” The smaller said. “I think.” He add quietly.
“Dude, didn’t you know…”
“Just yesterday, Maki and Jin…”
“Didn’t I tell you?” He saw the taller figure standing at the doorway.
“Maki and I started dating since yesterday.” The taller figure said.
He felt his heart clenched, even though he already knew it. This situation had happened before years ago, but he still can feel the pain like it just happened yesterday.
“I know that, but it doesn’t meant I’m giving up.” He heard the smaller figure said.
“We will see that.” said the taller figure.
And that day, he knew he had made the biggest lie in his life.

Jin slowly entered the room and closed the door. Even though it had been two weeks since the incident, everything still felt surreal to him. He still can’t accept that he will never see Kame’s smile, can never hear Kame’s laughter anymore. He approach the bed and look at the occupant.
He pull the chair at sat on it, beside the bed. He took Kame’s hand in his and plant a kiss on it. It had became his habit to held Kame’s hand everytime he visits him. He lean his check against the hand and looked at the owner face.
There was still no changes in Kame’s condition. He was still trapped in his deep slumber, wasn’t able to wake up. Jin felt his eyes sting, but he stubbornly held his tears. He need to be stronger for Kame.
“Hey Kame. How’re you today. It’s been two weeks. I miss you.” Jin said. “Today, Ryo and Tat-chan had a fight again. I don’t know what they’re fighting about, but knowing those two, it must be silly fight, ne~” he added, eyes still Lock on Kame’s face. “I’m telling you this so you can prepare when Tat-chan come. I’m sure he gonna whine to you.” He smiled.
“One more thing. I have good news to you. We already find out who did this to you. It was Maki’s Fanatic fan. He thought that you’re her boyfriend, so he wants to eliminate you. He said that he saw you together with Maki one day. He don’t want anyone to own Maki, so….I’m sorry Kame, I’m sorry. It’s supposed to be me that lying here, not you. Please forgive me.” Jin sobbed. He buried his face in their clasped hands and cried silently

He sat at the front desk, looking at two figures at the back. The smaller figure was sitting on the chair, his head was bent down, not sparing a look at the taller figure that was standing in front of him.
They seem like they were fighting. He strain his ears to try to listen to the conversation, but it was futile since the two figure were quite far, at the back, from him.
“You’ve been lying to me all this time.” He heard the taller figure shouted at the smaller one. He looked at the smaller figure that still had his head bent down. He knew that the smaller figure was crying. Even from afar, he still can see the slight trembling of the smaller one’s shoulders.
Hearing saw the taller said something, but the smaller still in his position. Suddenly the taller figure turned around and left the smaller one alone in the room. He saw the smaller figure flinched when the door was banged shut.

They sat at the secluded corner in the café. Yamapi and Ryo looked at his friend. Jin looked beaten. There were big eyebags under his eyes. He seems like he hadn’t been slept.
“Jin, are you okay?” Ryo asked, concern about his friend’s well being. Jin just nodded his head.
“Are you sure because to me you’re not.” Yamapi said. Again, Jin just nodded.
“Come on Jin. It’s been a month since Kame‘s in coma. Do you think Kame will be happy if he see you like this when he wake up. When was the last time you sleep?” Yamapi again.
“How can I sleep Pi when all I can see after I close my eyes is Kame’s pale face, lying on that hospital bed. And worse I don’t even know whether he’s going to wake up or not. I don’t want to lose him Pi. I can’t. He’s too important to me.” Jin said, teary.
“You heard what the doctor said. With our presence around him, with our support, I’m sure he’s going to wake up. He has no reason to lose hope, to not fighting to live. Kame’s strong, Jin. Even though he may take months or years, but I know he’s going to fight against death and one day, he’s going to open his eyes. So I’m asking you, please don’t lose hope. Don’t give him any reason to stop fighting” Ryo tried to encourage Jin.
“I’m not losing hope, Ryo, but…” Jin trailed off.
“But, what Jin. We know there’s something that is bothering you and we’re willing to wait for you to be ready to talk about that. But seeing you broken like this, we can’t take it. We want our Jin back. Our Jin who is stronger than you, who is able to face any challenge. You’re not our Jin. Please give our Jin back.” Yamapi snapped. His fist clenched, trying to calm himself down. Seeing Jin so broken and getting worse day by day sadden him.
Jin looked at Yamapi. He knew he had made his friend worried, but he can’t help it. Thinking that Kame will never wake up make him depressed. He looked down, ashamed of himself. Silence surrounded them.
“Jin, we’re worried about you. I don’t want you to end up in hospital too.” Ryo said softly.
“I know. I’m sorry.” Jin said, looking up at his friends. “I’ll try to change. But I can’t promise.” He added.
“It’s enough. Knowing that you will take better care of yourself make us relief.” Yamapi said, smiling at Jin.
Jin smile back. He was grateful to have both of his friend by his side.
“Jin, can I asked you something?” Jin nodded, giving permission. “What is your relationship with Kame? I know you guys had been friend since childhood, but by the way you act after Kame’s incident make me wonder.” Ryo asked hesitantly. Jin looked at Ryo, surprised.
“Yeah Jin. I’ve been wondering about that too.” Yamapi said, supporting Ryo’s question.
“Well actually…Kame loves me.” Jin said in low voice.
“I knew that.” Ryo’s statement shocked both Jin and Yamapi.
“You knew?” Jin and Yamapi asked in unison. Both of them looked at Ryo with curious look.
“Please don’t make that kind of face. You guys look ugly.” Ryo chuckled. Two ‘I’m not’ echoed together.
“How did you know?” Yamapi asked.
“Well, you know about me and Tat-chan right?” Two head nodded vigorously. “Kame told Tat-chan about that and coincidentally I was there during that time. Kame asked me not to tell you. He afraid that you will get mad at him.” Ryo explain.
Jin fell silent, remembering his fight with Kame. The memories make his heart clenched. He had been mad at Kame after he knew about Kame’s feeling. He had felt betrayed at the time. He thought the reason Kame had been with him because of Maki, but he had been wrong. Regret immediately filled him.
“How about you Jin. Do you love him too?” Ryo asked, taking Jin back from his memory lane. Yamapi looked at Jin curiously, impatiently waiting for his answer.
Jin slowly nodded. “Yes, I love him too. I was planning to tell him after he get back from his class, but who knew that incident going to happened.” He said.
“Then, you should confess to him. You should tell him your feeling.” Yamapi encouraged.
“And now he even has a stronger reason to kept fighting. I know he’s going to make it” Ryo added.

He slowly opened the door and walked into the apartment. There he saw his beloved one lying, stomach down, on his bed, seeming too deep in his thought. He walked closer to the bed. As he walked the, a rush of memories invade his mind. He felt his checks flushed in embarrassment.
The feeling of his beloved’s lips on his was still lingers. The kisses, the touches that they had shared on that fateful night still fresh in his mind. Suddenly he felt his body burning up. He tried to erase the images, but the seems they were burned in his memory.
He flinched when his beloved sat up all of sudden, eyes wide in surprised. He wonders what had happened to his beloved when he heard the word that he had been longed to hear for years.
“I think I’m in love with you too, Kame.”
He felt his heart bloom in happiness. He wanted to yell so that the world would know that his love was answer by his beloved. He wanted to tell his beloved how much he love him, but he knew his beloved will not hear him. He felt anxious.
Suddenly he felt lightheaded. He shook his head, tried to chase the dizziness away, but it didn’t works. He tried to called for his beloved, but no sound came out. “I’m going to tell him when he get back.” Was the last thing he heard before his world surround by darkness

He slowly opened his eyes. He looks at his surrounding and wonders where he was. He looked at his right and saw Jin, his head lying on their clasped hands. He smile at scene in front of him. He opened his mouth to called for Jin, but before any sound could came out, he heard Jin talked.
“There’s something I want to tell you, but I won’t tell you now. I want you to wake up first before I tell you. I want to see you reaction, your face when I said it.” He heard Jin said.
“Tell..me..what…Jin.” He let out with difficulty. His throat hurt just from speaking.
Jin’s eyes widen when he heard the voice that he longed to hear since a month ago. He snapped his head up and saw Kame smiling at him. He rubbed his eyes, afraid that this all was just a dream. It’s not the first time that he dreamt about Kame waking up. He close his eyes and slowly opened them again, but Kame was still there, smiling at him.
He let out a sobbed that he had been holding. His tears fell down his checks. He quickly pulled Kame into his embrace, holding him tight, afraid that Kame will disappear in any minutes.
“Kame, you really awake.” Jin said quietly. Kame still trapped in his embrace. Kame nodded and wrapped his arms around Jin. He felt his shirt wet with Jin’s tears, but he didn’t care.
After a few minutes the stay in the position, Kame slowly wriggle his way out from the embrace and Jin let him. He stared at Kame, still couldn’t believe that Kame was really awake.
“Tell me what, Jin.” Kame repeated his earlier question. Jin blinks at him in confusion. He tried to think what he had said when he suddenly realize that Kame had heard his monologue. He smile at Kame.
“I love you Kame.” Jin said wholeheartedly. He looked tenderly at Kame. He tried to stay calm even though he felt so nervous.
Kame beamed with happiness. He felt joy surrounding him. He pulled Jin into tight embrace again.
“I love you too Jin. Too much.”
