Beware of toilet humour

Yes, it's pretty hard to put up with a lot of toilets in Asia (and other places) when you've grown up in a Western society. I know firsthand.

But you have to admit, it gets a conversation going.

The user comments are just as intriguing, I think, as the article itself.

I was in China, where all the toilets in this building for ladies didn't have doors :P God.

i was reading an article in the washingtonpost that china is trying to transform their toliet industry by quickly moving towards a more modernized toliet seat. designers have gone to various other industrialized countries to look for a "new look" to cross over into the chinese market. This is all due to the olymics taking place in china soon and the mad rush to usher in the new look of a "stronger china." It's funny though, because the article commented that in one area you will have the luxurous bathrooms lined up, but then turn the corner and it's back to rural china and the grimey hole-in-the-floor look. oy.
