Try an online quiz, maybe, like myelectiondecision.org
My school's working on this one, but there are others, too. You can fill out things about your own views and find out how you match up to the candidates.

The short answer? Hillary is too divisive, especially among the undecided. If Obama wins the primary, there might be a fighting chance.

Agreed. I'm worried that if she becomes the president, she'll have the same effect on moderates that the bush administration has had, but the other way, leading to another Republican administration catering to the far right which would overturn anything Hillary accomplished. Obama, on the other hand, may be able to get shit done with support from Republicrats as well as Demublicans, which could last beyond his administration. Personally, I'm sick of the divisive ping-pong politics.

...why is it you know more about the candidates than most Americans? XD

I hadn't taken the Iraq issue into account, huh. Between you and tandooribone, I'm leaning back towards Obama now. (Though I have no idea who the latter is.)

Hi, I'm Tandooribone. Nice to meetcha. :)

I moved here in November, found your posts to be insightful and well-written, so I went ahead and friended you. Hope that's okay. The fact that you have an XKCD icon proves to me you're a worthy person ;)

www.ontheissues.org is a good, independent site that outlines the candidates' platforms, as well as their voting records.

Flidge and Tandooribone already covered it, but I'm backing Obama myself. Not that my vote helped him win the NH primary or anything, but I have high hopes for him for the nomination. He's charismatic, on a platform of change, and I believe he could serve to unite, rather than to tear apart. Hillary is more experienced and has Bill to bolster her, true, but she would never resonate with Republicans looking to steer clear of crazy old McCain.

She's a scary, scary woman, and so far seems to be doing as good as she is because women are flocking to her to help get in the first female President, which is NOT a good reason to support anyone. That's sort of like going to a certain college to be with your boyfriend or girlfriend. It's a no-no. I mean, I would love a female president, but...not Hillary.

So yeah, check Obama out. He's got a really useful wikipedia page, and YouTube has a ton of videos he's done or appearances he's made. I think you'll like him.

When it comes to the issues, let's be honest- the differences between Clinton and Obama aren't exactly huge. There's lots of Clinton supporters that keep insisting that Obama is offering promises without plans on how to accomplish them, yet if they went to his website they'd find a 60 page summary of his policy plans. Many of them differ from Clinton's plans, many are more or less the same. Both of them would be better than Bush (or McCain for that matter ( ... )
