Today I hung out with a shaved long-hair cat

Ha, I finally have glasses again. They're neat and semi-stylish and didn't cost an arm and a leg.

Still mulling the vertical labret, but I think I'm going to go for an ear-cartilage piercing first. This is all assuming I have money at some point. Rent comes first.

The vertical labret isn't the thing in a tongue, is it? I hear tongue piercings are a dangerous thing because you have to have a very good piercer to avoid nerve damage and lots of pain. My anatomy profs think tongue piercings are not the thing to do. There are lots of eyebrow piercings in my class, though, so I think those are doctor-approved. ;-)

I really want a tongue piercing, but that's out. area_woman March 2 2008, 15:26:27 UTC
Good to hear the eyebrow's MD-approved. :)

The vertical labret is the vertical barbell through the lower lip. (A normal labret is the stud below the lower lip.) My soon-to-be-a-dentist friend likes the vertical one because it's less potentially damaging to the teeth.

Yeah, I haven't heard anything about about any labrets yet. :-) And they do look cool, although I always wonder about the dribbling out of the hole. It just seems like the fluid MUST COME OUT. There is a HOLE! In your MOUTH! Things really should, by all reasonable sense, come shooting out.

If a long-haired cat is shaved, is it even a long-haired cat anymore? I would think it would get temporarily moved to bald-cat status... XD

Well, the bobs at the ends of his feet and tail were still long...
