Right, so. I got three different sets of instructions on how to care for my new piercing.
  • The piercer said to use the antiseptic and sea salt once a day, each.
  • The antiseptic bottle says to use it at least twice a day.
  • The aftercare sheet says to use the antiseptic once or twice a day, and to use the sea salt at least twice.

Is this a tongue piercing? A good rule of thumb is to rinse with antiseptic twice a day (at least after you wake up and before you go to bed), and rinse your mouth every time you eat (use antiseptic or warm salt water after every time you put something in your mouth).

If it's a labret piercing, I'd at least go with the rinse twice a day rule with mouthwash, and use warm salt water after eating rule.

I wish, it's just ear cartilage! D: I'd expect this sort of thing with a labret or tongue...

Oh, hey, it occurred to me the other day that I don't have your cell number. We should remedy that sometime. <3

haha - I don't even know my cell phone number! The phone is never on, but the next time I see you I'll look up what the number is and give it to you. :)

I had SO MUCH trouble with my cartilage piercing, though I adore it, it hurt like hell and bled all over the place at the weirdest times. I believed I used antiseptic twice a day on it and then sea salt sort of whenever I felt like it, and it turned out OK.
