Consider this a PSA:

Do not join the "networking website" Bebo. I made the mistake of signing up for this website when my husband sent me an email suggesting it. Unfortunately, he didn't send it -- this website hijacks your address book and spams everyone in it.

uggghh. I was so mad. My grandma sends me a message, "I don't know how to sign up for this bebo thing, but thanks for thinking of me. It was nice to hear from you," and I was like WTF?!!? It sent it to the admissions departments of all the schools I applied to (I got a bunch of "out of office" replies back), so of course I look like a complete dunderhead. And it also went to everyone my church's yahoo group. GAH!

i get bebo invites and just delete them -- i actually think they may go to my spam now :(

I just posted a comment in your other post asking how they got the addresses, because I was working through my f-lists posts. Ignore that one.

There MUST be a law about it somewhere... I worry whether I've been part of this massive icky computerbot thing at some point.
