...I'm not going to say I teared up with love for this vid and this show and this character, because I'm pretty sure that would be embarrassing. I will say that I love this a lot and thank you for making this vid, it is wonderful. Gah. SERIOUSLY, I teared up at the point when she's hugging the Middleman and then when she's painting him, I admit it, THERE. I would also like to comment on how pretty Wendy looks in that scene where she's running in Palindrome Reversal Palindrome. Really, really wonderful!

Also, betaing this for you made me want to rewatch everything and, HOLY CRAP, how I love this show. God (and ABC Family) only knows if we'll ever get more, but, lord, if what we did get isn't frickin' awesome beyond all measure. No matter what happens, I will be eternally grateful to Javi for giving us Wendy Watson. She's as good as it gets.

Middleman is so specifically pitched at yours and mine that it still stupefies me that it didn't take off with a zeitgeist that rivals the likes of Buffy or Doctor Who. And in the case of DW, I accept that it's made for eight-year-olds, and the fact I adore it is a bonus because I am not even close to Cardiff's target audience. Hell, they've got their target audience sewn up. But this show is us, and they're unabashed about it and flying their nerd colors proudly. I know Wendy Watsons in real life, and I love them all. She's why I have unholy love for the show.
