Happy Birthday, Ponygirl!

Ichiban Kan, Inc. are about to go online. They have bento supplies that are evidently very hard to get, such as this or this.

I've just noticed--when I'm excited about an idea, my spelling and grammar absolutely go to pot. I'm in a rush to express a new or interesting idea, or I'm trying to get a joke out quickly before the timing is off, or I want a response quickly. So if a comment of mine is atrociously written, it's a complement.

"Authoritarian Good Little Boys and Girls" This will probably be one of many Authoritarian posts.

My books have come in, oh joy! "The Curious Lore of Precious Stones" by George Frederick Kunz, and "Gems in Myth Legend and Lore" by Bruce Knuth. Together, the two books outline the facts and legends about gems from Greek times to more modern times. The blog wars continue. Now I have a bunch of Mark Steyn fans--I think of them as Steyned Shirts--trying to argue that feminism is out of date and no longer required. I'm afraid I'm not giving them the argument they seem to expect.

If this were happening to someone else I'd find it tedious. On my own blog, I think it's slightly hysterical.

Oh geeze. Some wingnut linked to my blog because I said something mean about him. Geeze, I'm nobody. The only way he could have gotten that quote is by putting his name on some kind of alert service.

The plumber came Saturday, and it seems the concrete pipe that takes wastewater to the sewer has risen, probably due to tree roots. That means gravity prevents the tubs and sinks from draining properly or at all. The toilets and washing machine use force to get water through, so they work okay. This is going to be expensive.
