The Eyes Have It

I went to the doctor today for the first time in years - and it was an eye doctor, so it's been MANY years. The problem was that I woke up with tremendous discomfort in my left eye: pain, profuse watering, redness, dry feeling, and complete blurriness. Also felt like it was full of sand, although I can't say I really know what an eyeful of sand

I get the impression from the doctor that it's not all that scary in itself, but if it's something that I keep doing in the future, then it probably would be. Hopefully with treatment and being aware of it, I can avoid doing it from this point.
