Vote or what?
"Staten Island: Llyod Grove's Lowdown column reported yesterday that Paris Hilton and rapper 50 Cent did not vote, even though they were photographed in "Vote or Die!" T-shirts. Well, die already. Who are you to tell people to vote if you weren't going to do it yourself? My props go to Ludacris, because he did send in an absentee ( Read more... )

you suck, and have no right to ever say something bad about Bush, so take off your anti bush shirt. -- Voting is a choice; political voice is a right.

I mean what is up with the friggin Trend that was SO popular it was so IN to hate bush it was the cool thing. you know what maybe thats it people didnt vote cause they spent so much money on all those cute shirts they want to still be able to wear them if socongradulations. your cool. -- This election was pathetically juiced by MTV.

just because voting is a choice doesn't mean people can't voice their opinion on it. hence your second point, that political voice is a right. will is exercising that right.

secondly, it was juiced by everyone because the more of our age group voting, the better chance of the appropriate president, making decisions that effect us more than anyone else, being in power. if you took a step back and realized that people are getting mad for others not voting NOT based on the idea that they are obliged to, and NOT based on the fact that MTV told them to do so, but the fact that a greater number of younger people voting means more democratic votes, and a smarter, more qualified president, i think you'd refrain from making any more upper-middle-class-white-girl-who-has-no-real-threat-of-being-killed-in-a-meaningless-war statements.

but then again, who am i to infringe on your political voice right.

Will, I completely agree with you, I feel like our generation let us down...but we can't give up this fight.

..The ironic thing about politics is that it is something that brings out the biggest emotions in people. It causes intense unity, and intense division. Trust me, I have plenty of opinions on politics, informed opinions I hope, and I believe we all should, because politics is something that affects every other aspect of our lives. But if you don't agree with that statement, and you dont agree with my beliefs, that's ok. But you can't have serious discussions about anything without respecting each other first. That's all I wanted to say, and whoever ends up reading this, keep fighting for what you believe.
