Some types of childcare jobs, though as with farm work most of them are very low-paying and require a driver's license. I've also seen some nifty-looking museum jobs along the lines of tour guide/gopher/general helper person, though they're even sparser than library jobs. There's always food service.

You can always just start advertising your skills as a tutor in X subjects and see if anyone bites. What age group/subject range were you thinking of?

for tutoring: Wyzant.com - it's definitely a racket (takes 40% of your earnings at first, if you're honest and get paid through it instead of directly) but it got me some connections in NYC and probably is good in DC as well. And if you spin it right (come on - you read and write well, you've got a degree from a shiny school, you can probably tutor other subjects even if you haven't taken them since high school) you'll probably find someone who wants to pay you to ensure that their child gets straight A's :)

Was scanning through friend's friend pages (seems a lot of my friends have been lacking in avid writing lately!) and saw you. Interested in reading more of your reading if possible. Adding you so you could look over my journal and get an idea of who I am and if you feel comfortable adding me back! :)
