There's something really magical about putting mascara on at night when it's still warm- alone in my room after a hot shower. Looking in a mirror hanging under the light. But i'm backlit by a pink bulb on the other side of the room and Edith Piaf is playing just loud enough to set the mood. I feel like Jen Vafidis would understand this well.

jen vafidis does understand that very well. although it is difficult for me to fully experience the magic with you. i just put on edith, and i can't really appreciate her to the utmost because my feminist film readings are making me hate the world.
