I think we have a very good opportunity coming up this month which it is important for us to take advantage of.

January 18-21st will be Arisia in Cambridge. As in the past, there will be a (quite large) Masonic meeting at the convention which men from many lodges around the state attending. I'm thinking to myself, where is there a higher ( Read more... )

Hmm. I'll be medium-busy (on panels and suchlike), but I'll be there. (And probably at the Lodge meeting, assuming that the schedule is manageable.)

If you're thinking about trying to recruit some new Masons, the idea is intriguing, but it won't be trivial. Arisia has a lot of potentially interested guys, but there's also a huge amount going on, so getting peoples' *attention* can be tricky. And once we have their attention, we have to interest them, which also isn't trivial.

Still, not a bad idea. You're right that it's a potentially target-rich environment...

If we speak to people one-on-one, I think we can give them a good understanding of why we think a project like ours is necessary and convince them of our sincerity. It might also be nice to arrange for those of us already interested in this project to get together for a meal or some other brief opportunity to simply put faces to the LJ nicks.
