I've started the fall semester, and I count myself lucky to have gotten the classes I needed. I know many people who didn't get classes they needed, and some who didn't get any classes at all. Hooray - you're alive! Goodness, I had no idea that things were that bad at the Californian universities. The financial crisis in Cali has been covered by the media here, though not in great detail. I can see it getting the same way here before long too, so I'm relieved my children have more or less finished their education (Cerian is just in her final year of college).

It's good news you've managed to get the classes you need though. How on earth will the other students manage to complete their course if they haven't been so fortunate?

I agree with every word you've said in regards to the state of our state, btw. God forbid the Big Wigs give up a nickle. It's very frustrating.
