Ymir VS Gem Joust which is older *settled*

Feb 20, 2009 08:58

The question has gone back and forth as to which event is indeed older. Wind Masters folks of course claim Ymir is older and Caer Mearians Claim that indeed Gem Joust is older.
Let’s put this puppy to rest shall we. Here it is full color glossy goodness with circles and arrows and paragraphs above each one explaining what each one is to be used as evidence for us )

You foolish, foolish man. You base your 'facts' around the OP? The notorious OP, which is almost always wrong?!?!

What, are you trying to start a War or something? ;-)

And yes, the Jousts have been held continously for 34 years.

If this year is Joust 34, and Ymir 34, then Ymir is older by a couple months.

You are assuming this was Ymir 34....the soothsayers disagree! Someone bring me a chicken!

http://ymir.windmastershill.org/ - Master Nikulai says it is so, and after that event, I'm not inclined to disagree...

Plus you misspelled "Diamond" on your phoney chart, thus proving this as the forgery that it is. Feh. I am an honorary citizen of Windmaster's you know, and I am a landed Baron...ergo, I could claim to be the landed baron of Windmaster's Hill.

Hm, I think a quartered surcoat would look smashing, and your coronets ARE lighter than ours....I'll be nice and let your B&B keep one or two sets. We'll just take the new ones.

Quartered surcoats you say... you're a subject of Windmasters' you say... Sounds like all I need to do to start the 100 Years War all over again is to require you to come pay homage. ;P

Ymir would be the oldest *contining* event with no breaks... if 87 didn't happen.

I can see a case for Gem Joust being older cuz it was born in 75...

either way, they're both in the same school grade ;)

Well, the 3rd option is that they had 13 Diamond Jousts and just can't count... ;P

Counting is overrated. Like when I count on Windmaster's showing up with an army to watch my flank. Overrated!

That's because you can take off your shoes and still not be able to count the total might of our army.

HOw about you call the autocrat from the first Ymir, Mistress Ysar? She knows the history and was part of the planning for BOTH events, knows the story why they are "gem " events, etc. She is a good person to get to the facts from.

Shhh... this is an evil way to occupy Gaston (now that he has absolutely nothing to do)and the rest of Windmasters for hours upon hours with the history of their Barony.
