HAH! Just think about how the situations on the two sides of me are complete opposite right now.

English side: MH seems to get into some problem with Kodansha regarding copyright, perhaps. I don't know the detail, but that's that.

Thai side: There's this one stupid website that just didn't to my words of warning regarding Thai raw at all. I already told them that one day, the publishers will come right at them for sure for that at least, and they banned me in the end for actually warning them not to take them too lightly and start to value your e-penis to the point of committing the Thai manga community's taboo (posting Thai tanko raw). My past experience says that if the Thai publisher, especially NED, found out about that, they'll get right to the lawsuit and stuff FOR SURE. They did that before with one of the forums that update using scanlations (works for a short while before people forgot about it...though I still keep my vow to never touch NED manga, but...-_-"), so why would they let the guy who scan Thai raw go? But...yeah, I'm actually not that nice of a person. After all, I hate anyone who post up Thai raw a hell lot more than translation thieves (because even though I'm still translating, I do respect the Thai publishers). I'm planning on telling it right to the publishers and see their response...just as a report to them. If they don't do anything about it, then alright, I'll leave the matter aside, assuming that it means they're totally OK with people doing that. If they do, then I'll see how that website is going to response, but I bet if they don't take down everything as I already warned them to take down long ago, they're doomed. It's local stuff here, which means you can be easily sued for commiting copyright crime. At least that's what I learned about the publishers' capability in dealing with these matters, after they almost sue one of the websites for that and actually affect a hell lots others (since in contrast to the English communities, the Thai ones usually give full respect to the publishers. Most of us, the translators and scanlators, will tell people to support at least the Thai tanko...that's why I see now that I'm not the only one who see posting the Thai tanko raw as a taboo in the whole communities)

Seeing the two opposites here, hm? Well...that's what gave me a headache, but...-_-"

Anyway, I respect MH's decision of taking down all the raws of Kodansha. After all, got to be honest, I'd be looking down on MH a lot of they ignore that. Once again, it might be because I believed that publishers are actually the ones with the highest rights in the whole communities. If they said something, it's always better to follow them. At least, it's best to prevent conflict, and it's still true that we hold no rights in doing all these in the first place. If someone ask me right now "Why now?", guess I'd think of it as "why not faster than this?" rather than "why not later than this?" -_-"

As for the Thai side...well, IMO, they deserve it. First they steal my translations, now they steal the publishers'. Not only that, I already warned them that they shouldn't do this if they don't want to get into trouble. I don't want to leave them as that for long as well. After all, got to be honest, they deserve it for not listening to me, yet steal my translations, steal people's scanlations and even steal the Thai publishers' stuff. I'll be sure to tell them off to all the main publishers...:S
