Fact: Women in El Salvador are paid just 29 cents for every $140 Nike NBA jersey they sew. That means their wages are .002% the retail price of the jersey.

Fuck labels.

That's pretty bad. BUT.

That's not too bad for El Salvador, considering that they make plenty of those stupid things. And that if they weren't making 29 cents a shirt, they'd be starving.

I sold thousands of dollars of stuff and got minimum wage, don't hear anyone complaining!

But it's still not a good wage.

I'm sure you'd complain if you made 29 cents an hour. How long do you think those shirts would take them, they have to make the stitching precise. I'm also sure you don't have a family to support with that minimum wage either.
