It is one of my nonreasonable convictions that knowing how to orient one's self to a rotating bus is not only an experience that should be had but a skill that should be learnt by all.
I really want to ask how it felt, but I don't think it can be answered.
Actually, I wasn't really aware of much at the time. I didn't really need to worry about orienting myself. This is how it went: - The ride got very out-of-control bumpy and we were veering left. - I was huddled up instinctively protecting my head (and briefly noticing "Hey look, I've automatically moved to protect my head. Instincts are amazing!") and people were screaming, and I screamed too just because they were. - I felt the texture of snow, then the coldness, then realized there was snow somehow. - Loren was asking if I was okay and we were walking away from the bus.
I am only aware of a process of about 5-7 seconds, even though it must have taken much longer than that for the bus to slow down from highway speed and flip over and for us to get flung out and everything.
Yeah, I'm injured, slightly. I've got a bit of a sprained ankle, big bruises on my knees, and my whole body kind of hurts still. I am also starting to suspect slight brain injury, but I'm probably exaggerating.

Would you consider yourself to be one of the "dozens injured", or are you more hardy than that?
