I have to admit that I am a little concerned. I have had a headache since Monday morning. It is always there. Sometimes it is a two on a pain scale of one to ten and sometimes it is a ten. One thing that is for sure is that it never goes away. I actually ended up in the ER yesterday morning because the headache was blinding. It felt like the ( Read more... )

Mine was a pea sized cyst and they took it out!!! Don't let them tell you it's nothing, it very well may not be!
I don't want to scare you but I greatly dislike the fact they the Drs blew it off, I am sure they did so because the heart issue was of greater concern however.
Did they say where on the pituitary it was?
Ya know my Dr said he's only ever see one patient with a pituitary mass in his carrer - they supposedly are that rare. If they are so hard to come by why are you the 5th or so person ( not including myself) that I know of with one???

Are you serious? That now scares the crap out of me. He did tell me where in the pituitary it was, but I really don't remember as it was almost two years ago. I had no idea that is what happened with you! I thought that you had a brain tumor. I honestly hate, hate, hate the two neurologists that I have seen. Supposedly, they are the best ones in the state. One pushed me into a spinal tap and told me that I had M.S. when the heart doctor was saying that the white spots on my brain were from TIAs not MS. The other one is just kind of a jerk off.

Thanks for telling me. You have completely reinforced my belief that I better have it checked out again...and soon.

I don't know if this means anything to you, but they called it a Rathkes (sp?) cleft cyst.

rare for them to be symptomatic, but it can happen. most of them are found after death, as an incidental finding.

they are benign, and may cause symptoms if it grows to a signifigant size. it is a remnant of an embryonic function--usually disappears in utero, before baby is born. so, you can be assured that no matter how old you get, at least one part of you will always be a child!

are you okay? feeling any better? you and david should come hang out one of these weekends now that i'm living with the sooz and meg. i kept saying to meg, "i doubt your friendship to me" as a joke, and she was like, "since that day i went out with natalie and david, i'm sure you do!" poor defensive little megan. i told her, yet again, that i was only joking and i didn't realize she'd be thinking about it months later! i really was joking! good grief!

the corn maze sounds like much fun!

i'm glad your big black girl is okay! poor behbeh. i hate when animals are in pain. :(
