went to see mew last night. i've been wondering whether they really are good or just good at fakin' it. and i'm leaning more and more towards the latter option. take the album. there are a couple of nice pop hooks and innovative chord progressions, but then again, they are the same in every cut. basically they're doing the same song over and over

you've got a point, boy.
but they certainly do have more than a "couple" of innovative chord progressions.
yet there _are_ at least 3 extremely mediocre tracks on the record.
plus the välispiikit made me wonder whether they're all that bright, really.
oh but _still_: i liked it, i did!
