Shackles of Society

I find it depressing that from the minute we are born our lives are basically set out for us. We are to be slaves of our society. It doesn't matter if you agree with society, you are on this world to serve. I long for the chance to live my life how i choose. I should have taken more survival courses as a kid so i could have just ran off to live ( Read more... )

kevin and i sorta talked about this last night... it's really depressing how most of our lives are spent working for money so that we can "earn" our fun. But it seems like there is just so much more work than fun :(

and i'd be awful lonely if you ran off to the forest :p

What you are feeling is what the great Karl Marx called alienation! It might feel horrible, but it's the agonizing inner rift that forces the exploited proletariat masses to eventually say, "Fuck it!" and rise up against the depraved capitalist empire!

Or if anarchism/socialism/communism isn't your thing, I'll go camping with you sometime soon. That's sort of the same thing.
