Yup. Those who structure such tolls think $5000 is peanuts. They make that much in just a few days. Frex, congresscritters make almost $1000 for every working day, and most such laws are passed by people who've never held a real job in their lives and think anyone can afford an extra $10/day to commute. If the lesser Swamp Things complain, they'll get a subsidy, and all goes on as before.

Le sigh.

Hi Mrs. Wright, I'm always looking for new guests to join our poetry talks. While your husband appears to be quite busy at the moment, would you be interested in joining us? I could tell you the poems I have coming up shortly, and I have a long list of earlier ones from before I'd started these discussions.

I am not averse to the idea...but I am extra busy for the next few weeks. When do you do it?

We usually record weekday evenings at about 8:30 (central). If we plan ahead enough, however, we could also do a weekend afternoon instead. I can't get more specific than that right now because my regular partner's schedule is variable at the moment so we have to plan week to week.

That's not a bad time. Can you ping me again...by email if you like...in about three weeks?
