.... I think I'm feeling a little burnt out.

Or perhaps it was just an off day but for a good portion of my day today, I felt like I'd been hit by a bus. And not a long island iced tea in sight. Admittedly, I'm still doing well in my classes but the quality of what I'm turning in isn't my usual 100%. Today I received a project back in Design class ( Read more... )

don't burn yourself out so soon; you're far too young for a midlife crisis!

how about... go on a rampage and destroy half the town?

that always helps re-focus and invigorate.

Well you know what I already told you. Didn't know about the C :( I hate C's especially in this field, it can really kill your confidence. Really though, C's are just letters. Its what you put into it that really matters :) Don't beat yourself up. Hang in there buddy :)

the irony is that a C is a good grade its a passing grade. sure it snot what you wanted but it means you still fulfilled the assignment. stupid grade inflation.

While it is true that breaks are nice and they can really help with the creative process sometimes we can't control when they come just take this in itself as a valuable learning experience and find new ways to decompress.

there i said the "responsible" thing

now is there anythign i can actually do to help you? *nuzzles and hugs*

Honestly man don't let this stuff get you down this was how you felt yesterday maybe with a headache gone and a new day things will be better *nuzzles* *hugs too*

We all have off days. The end result is more important. Keep your eyes on the prize. I know the arts are the hardest subjects to major in. Trust me getting a Bachelors in Music was the hardest thing; harder than Business. I think even the Master's is easier. You can do it. We all face this. Trust me. Keep at it...don't let one grade throw you off. The prize your degree and a decent job. If you need to stop by and visit. We both have been there.

Yeah, but I can't afford to kill myself in the process. In this LJ post, I really toned down what "hit by a bus" really felt like. It wasn't just a headache and an inability to concentrate on what was right in front of me; it was a complete and total shut down of my nervous system or something with a simultaneous feeling of being punched in the back of the neck which in turn, made every muscle in my back clench painfully. I Have NEVER felt that before. Im not a machine, I can't function at 100% all the time. People have because used to me performing at that level. Its not all school-related. There have been family issues at play too as well as personal stuff thats just been mounting. I think its all taken its toll on me to the point where I my body has decided that if I wont listen to it, then it's going to force me to the side of the road or something. Honestly, i've never felt this bad or this tired in my life.

Yeah. What Kitty said. If you need an hour or 2 to decompress, Fur Central awaits.
