1) You're never boring. 2) You always have bunnies thanks to the crazy circus. 3) *nods* I have to admit that I like my fandom amicable. The whole situation sucked ass and can't be erased, but it's also not worth letting things fester. (festering leads to 90,000 page expose documents that stir up messes in the first place, OMG!)
4) And I was going to write you bad anonymous poetry too! :( Sadness.
You are far more forgiving than I. Eventually, I just get to a point where it's fester, or forgive, or drop it and move on.
How is thesis? How is not working with ickle babies? What are you doing today?
I am meeting with the owner of my local used bookstore in an hour -- to see if he wants to buy the 100 texts I culled from my shelves yesterday. *crosses fingers and hopes*
I am still working this week. I'm off today to burn CDs of photos to hand out to parents on Friday, which is the last day.
Thesis is weird. I'm plotting. I'm planning. I'm scheming. I will do some more set up over the next few days and then I will start writing in earnest by Monday if not sooner. I will be writing very morning for several hours. Taking a break and then rewriting.
Book...culling? I know that at some point in my life I shall to, but oh, I don't relish the prospect. *clings to shelves* It's probably wrong to compare, but it's like giving away children.
Well, truly, it depends. If you weigh every book purchase and ensure that each one will be a prized, valued member of a collection, I can absolutely see that being a problem. Me, I'm more of the "huh, you're following me home? Well, come on in, but if you're irritating you'll be out the door tomorrow" variety fo book shopper. I rarely leave a bookstore with a stack in hand, and I don't always give every purchase a great deal of thought. (Which is a bigger problem for my wallet than my bookshelves, but that's another matter.)
But, it's not hard for me to split out a number of textsI a) didn't like, b) liked well-enough but won't read again, or c) never got into, and don't feel like I'll ever try again. I've probably packed off between four and five hundred in the last five years. And I still have well over 1200 in the apartment!
I do recommend culling, to keep the mind and tastes fresh, but it's a highly personal exercise. One of the shelves on my super-sturdy case was getting that "it's humid and droopy and *you're* all wilty, so I think I might start to bow" look to it. I stacked up some fiction, some fantasy, a bit of poetry, a bunch of books about writing and literary theory, some cookbooks, exercise stuff, and all of my foxtrot comics. And when I first stacked it up and reorganizaed the cases, I turned my back on the piles and couldn't tell any particular title that was missing. So, I figure I made good choices.

I probably knew about it and forgot, huh. I'm slick that way.
I'm glad things are getting sorted. It's been a stressful time for everyone.

Yeah, I could gladly erase 98% of last week.
