Well, what do I do know?

I guess this journal is the leg they had to cut off when was I shot at Antietam. (What is with my random Civil War references? Jeez.) Instead of burning it, which would be sane and sanitary I keep coming back here and trying to strap it back on. It doesn't quite fit anymore either. Dang it. But I miss it. *hobbles around ( Read more... )

How many journals, what to post, that's all up to you. For my own 2 cents worth, I usually only get frustrated when it's the same thing showing up on my f-list twice. But if that's what you want to do, I'm a grown-up and can deal. ;-)

No, I kind of hate the idea of posting the same thing twice. I am hoping to get back to fandom while it still exists. I guess it will last as long as it lasts. But I think it will be weird after the books are done. Then of course there are new fandoms.

You are always so awesome.

♥ as are you.

I feel so out of fandom, myself -- not just HP -- and haven't been able to figure out how to get back in.

Actually it is a trick with mirrors. I'm made of crispy salmon skins and rubber bands.

I think some people never got the message that I was posting over there for the last two years.

I figured it was you at some point but I sort of thought you wanted to keep fandom and RL seperate and wasn't sure exactly how I fit in on that spectrum. Er ... that sounds so lame and awkward but I really wasn't sure. LOL

I once had a seperate LJ for Rl stuff but gave it up because it's a pain in the butt to keep things seperate. Sometimes it's hard because there are now RL people (who don't really know the extent of my fandom activities and I'd like to keep it that way) on my friends list and because my journal is (mostly) friends only I've had to friend them back. I finally created a Fandom Only filter but half the time I forget about filters and just blather on about anything anyway. I guess my RL friends don't think any less of me (that I know of) because none of them have ever said anything to me about my obsessions. Thank God. Heh.

Yeah, I'm so flummoxed as to what to do -- partly because I am going through another huge life transition here! WHO AM I? WHERE DO I POST? GACK!

Oh, gosh. Anyone who read ari_o could have come over to imaginarycircus with me. I just didn't want to bore people who were not interested in my RL!

Alas, I have no advice, really. Um -- do what you feel most comfortable with? Er. Yes, I realize the problem (sounds like anyway) is that you're not sure what you're most comfortable with at the moment. Hopefully in time that will be an easier choice to make.

Oooh, okies. See, I am/was interested in RL things but I find sometimes it's difficult. Not with you, perse, just with LJ in general. Some people have this very strict thing about keeping RL seperate from fandom and I wasn't sure if you were one of those folks. But I'd love to friend you over there - I like reading about people's lives and what they're up to and such. :)

Silly come on over! :D

Well, imaginari_ocircus is too long for a username, so you can't really smush them together. :(

You could use one for posting quiz results, like I do!

...the other one please. ^_^

Hahahahaha. I almost never take online quizzes. And if I do I don't post the results. :)

But you could.

I never followed you around to the other journal because I felt like I just don't belong into your RL. Plus, I wasn't sure how much I'm bound into the upset you tried to get away from last summer, with all my journalfen involvement and stuff. :|

Anyway, I missed you.

I didn't associate you with the journalfen stuff at all. I don't mind the f_w stuff even when it has been about stuff I've been involved with. The other thing. Eh. I ended up being the lightning rod. I should look before I leap.

Well, I've had four LJs in the last five years, so... this one literally replaced the other three; I deleted and kept it. I have a vox, which I'm trying to use as an actual topic-oriented blog. And an account at MySpace, which I hate, because it's how my high school friends have been re-connecting post reunion. (And it works better for Nicole, being in Denmark, than the other sites.)

The one thing I've found important is to consider first what you want for your space, then what your audience will be interested in, and then marry the two in a way that works for you.

That is so different from my approach. I just post when I need to clear my head, or when I am excited. Or if I have a question. :)

I hate the idea of double posting. I also hate self censoring. I will not be double posting.

I'll figure it out. I'm just impatient.
