Although one should not expect too much from adaptations of eroges/otome games/visual novels, due to all the amasing voice actors in Starry Sky- whoops, I mean Starry☆Sky, I really couldn't resist giving it a try.

Apparently the reason that there's only ONE GIRL in the WHOLE SCHOOL is that this is the first year of it being co-ed (because a boy's-only school focusing on ASTRONOMY makes so much sense amirite) and it's in an extremely rural area so pretty much nobody applies, curriculum nonwithstanding. Also I think the ridiculous uniforms have something to do with it.

And hey your review only talks about that first guy, the Capricorn one, who is a TOTAL FRENCH ASSHOLE anyway. I played the game I played the game for ~in Spring~ dear God was is my life and it's obvious when your choices are Creeper Who Comes To Your School Because He Loved You When You Were Five, Ono Daisuke Pretending to Be Your Mom and Also Creeping and Sugita Tomokazu Being The Sweetest of All Sweet Princes, you're gonna go with the last one. HOW CAN YOU AFFORD YOUR OWN BLOODY OBSERVATORY IF YOU ARE IN A RURAL AREA? Those white patches on the sides of the hips on those uniforms must be magnetized or something because everyone has their hand on their hip.

I was only talking about my reaction to the first episode, so that's why you only got me bitching about the first guy. (I totally called it with Frenchie having that uber-long french name.) I could probably bitch about every arc in this way.
I'm pretty sure you're trying to say "That guy is a French asshole anyways, Sugita is the best." And I totally agree with that, but every time I hear his voice I'm like "SING ME A THOUSAND WINDS, TOMOKAZU."
Man, this girl get's around. Half the school is made up of her childhood friends!

The belts are also way down on the hips and not at the waist, giving all these male characters some lovely childbearing hips. Also, some kind of useless lapel pin that looks like a hair clip? I do not understand.

...You could really bitch about every character, not even Sugita and Kamiya are safe. THEY ARE ALL RIDICULOUS. Not even stereotypes, just pure ridiculousness with ridiculous affection for the heroine. I just find Capricorn to be the most ridiculous. He really needs a Sassy Gay Friend so next time he moves across the world for a girl he met once when he was a kid someone can say SLOW DOWN CRAZY, SLOW DOWN.

I THINK IT HELPS THAT THE EPISODES ARE ONLY ELEVEN MINUTES TOO. Not toooo much suffering. But the cast is just lskdjflajsdf flawless.

All those uniforms make them look more like hot girls than hot guys. I love the guys who don't even wear it properly, like Sugita. He has layers and layer of stuff underneath. Man it is SPRING. I think he thinks he's in the Autumn game. Also, did you see Mr. Ophiuchus? He looks like a bucket full of sunshine. /sarcasm

yes, it's totally one of those shows. i haven't watched anime in about half a year now but oh god the memory of otome game adaptations makes me want to off myself, just like how i ventured into hakuouki trying to convince myself that it's not going to be that bad! look, pretty boys! HOWEVER. i think i lasted ten minutes, max. my friend actually called me two weeks ago asking if i knew what the hell starry sky was and i was like, loads of pretty boys fashioned after the twelve signs of the zodiac? lol no don't watch it it's bound to be bad. and you just proved me right ):

although a shallow part of me just went to hit up wiki and i was slightly moved by the cast list, lol sue me.

Last anime I watched was The Tatami Galaxy and that show was amasing. It was a shining example of what all anime should aspire to do. But then you get this drivel. :I

I do really like visual novels, but the ones I like to play are less interactive and visual but more like an actual novel. That's why it's so shocking to me to see something that is so popular but with such a crappy plot.
btw, there are 13 guys now. Thanks to the new zodiac. :/

I'm guessing why it's so popular is because of the whole Japanese-can't-resist-anthropomorphism thing. Need I mention things like Hetalia, Miracle Train, and Opera-tan?

Because I'm such an audiophile I'm gonna have to keep watching this crap because it has every voice actor that I ever liked in there (minus the females of course). Man, it's just so bad but hearing some of the voice actors speak is just so nice. It's like those bloody Sheep-Counting Drama CDs all over again.
But seriously, if you don't have a huge fetish for certain voice actor's voices, STAY FAR FAR AWAY.
