Blessing? Curse? It seems like both to me.
Oh, the Olympics. I really don't know whether to be happy about them or sad.

Protesters come with every Olympic games, I don't know why the media is treating this like it's unique to Vancouver. London already has people rioting in the streets; it's just going to happen. I think the police have handled our riots very well so far. And as for the Opening Ceremonies, THEY WERE AWESOME. I've read a bunch of international reviews and from what I've seen the CANADA CAN'T GET IT UP jokes have been kept fairly minimal, overshadowed by the awesome of everything else.
I also think the Georgian luger's death was handled tastefully and respectfully - and not to point fingers or anything but it wasn't entirely the track's fault, he had only been luging for a few months before the Games. Of course it's a tragedy, but when they're competing in such a dangerous sport you can't just assume it's a problem with the track.

But I do love watching Olympic events. Just yesterday I was watching speed skating with my dad and the first match we see is Poland versus Russia and I said to my dad "That Polish guy better not lose." My dad immediately started laughing and Olivia was like "Wait, I don't get it! What's so funny?" But don't worry, the Pole won.
I don't know that much information about the factors surrounding his death so I really can't say whose fault I think it is. Be it the luger's error or a problem with the track's design it still is a tragedy. And I hope that if it was the track's fault that no other lugers will get hurt during the events.
I finished KH2 yesterday! (why yes, I did make it all the way from Demyx to final boss battle in the span of a day and a half) Expect a huge post about it.

How can Rio be horrible? They have that nice Jesus statue!
